Description
Analyzing your Scripts Participants will learn the basics of analyzing historical calligraphic hands. This class is based partly on Patricia Lovett's essay "Analyzing the Scripts" in The Historical Source Book for Scribes (University of Toronto Press, 1999), and partly on techniques created by the instructor. It includes time for a discussion on the philosophy of SCA scribes creating their own ductuses. This class is designed for the intermediate to advanced scribe, but all are welcome.
