A participatory walk through the basic sequences of dagger attacks as presented in Getty Ludwig Ms. Ludwig XV 13, better known as the Flower of Battle (il fior di battaglia) by Fiore Dei Liberi, a northern Italian sword master of the late 14th and early 15th century. The plays to be covered have been selected to exemplify the teaching structure of the manuscript. Participants should expect to move around but, as this is a technique and mechanics class, there will be no striking at speed or sparring. Dagger simulators will be available as loaners for the class. Age Limits: 16 and up, please.
