Description
We will be comparing translated excerpts from Publius Ovidius Nasso's "Ars Amatoria" to modern sources on romance and dating. The goal is to take a look at daily life, see how somethings never change, and take a look at a surprisingly practical guide to relationships in ancient Rome. Part comedy, part poetry, part kama sutra, and part pickup artist, this poem has everything. A packet containing excerpts of translations will be provided, you do not need to bring anything with you to the class.
