Description
Boil a bag meals, steaks, hot dogs, canned soup - is this how you cook when you camp? If you want to find out how medieval food can be cooked over an open fire, then this is the class for you. We will be discussing 1) Equipment and how to use it, 2) Set up and sanitation for your cooking area, 3) Fire and tending for cooking, 4) Historical Kitchens and of course 5) Food and how to cook and prepare historical food. Examples of equipment will be shown and recipes/sources will be provided in the handout. Focus of the class will be on the 14th & 15th century in Europe.
