Description
In 1571 the Battle of LePanto was fought between the Ottoman Empire and a coalition of Christian forces. The tactics and strategies used in this battle were influential in the development of future naval forces. We will review the background leading up to the conflict, outline the action of the battle itself, and discuss the influence that it had on later naval warfare.
