Description
"Cosmology is the study of the origin, structure, and space-time relationships of the universe. In this course we will examine the state of cosmology in the Middle Ages. We will begin by examining its origins with Aristotle and Plato. We will then develop the “standard model” of the universe as understood during the Middle Ages. We will then examine some of the problems that the Natural Philosophers of the Middle Ages investigated. Although the Introduction to Natural Philosophy course is helpful, it is not required. Also, no knowledge of mathematics, astronomy, or physics is required.
