Description
This session assumes knowledge of the basic embroidery stitches and handling of silk and metal threads learned in the Introduction class. We will create another Tudor rose using the following intermediate stitches: detached buttonhole in silk, Heavy Chain using metal and Gilt Silk Twist, Ceylon in silk and the 8 legged spider using metal thread. The class comes with a printed handout and kit to practice stitches. Please bring your own embroidery hoop and scissors if you have them. Loaners are available if not. Sit in students with their own equipment are welcome. ($6 for the kit. $1 for handout only.)
