Description
"Are you new to the SCA? Or new to sewing? Want to know what to wear and be able to get dressed quickly? This 2 hour workshop will include an overview of basic garb, how to obtain clothing and materials at a bargain, and how to make your first garb. We will layout and cut a pattern for a geometric tunic (good for ladies and lords) and even start you sewing your first outfit! We will also cover accoutrements with period sources and recreated samples for your perusal. If you are able, bring along a basic sewing kit, sewing machine, and 3 yards of pattern material (paper, tru-grid, junk material) and 4 yards of sold colored cotton, linen, or wool You can still attend without materials- we will have some on hand donated for free and some for purchase if you’d like something nicer.
