Description
In this class, I want to give you enough information to dress like a German peasant in the early 1500s. Sixteenth century peasant clothing, which is the most comfortable and utilitarian German clothing, didn’t survive. The largest amount of evidence we have for what peasant clothing looked like is contained in the German Single Leaf Woodcuts. Simple patterns can be made to help you get the look of German peasants. Optional handouts: $1.00, although class handouts are available online for free at https://amiesparrow.wordpress.com/articles-classes/early-16th-century-german-peasant-clothing/
