Description
I will talk for a while about the history of the instrument known now as the tin whistle, including how it is related to flutes and bagpipes both, and how to make one (in the abstract, not as a practical class). I’ll teach you how to play a short popular tune. If you don’t know how to read music, that’s OK, I’ll provide fingering charts. If you have a whistle or two, please bring them. I have one or two loaners, but not many. You can buy them from Aenor and Efenwealt, online, or in some music stores. You’ll get a handout and/or a QR code and URL so you can access the handout online.
