Description
Glass Bead making demonstration, and opportunity to try your hands at making you own glass bead (or more- time, skill, supplies permitting). Only paid reserved students (min age 14) will get a turn at the torch and are guaranteed a handout, but onlookers of all ages are welcome to watch behind barricade. I will have extra handouts that includes some history, where to get supplies, tools, and tips. Protective sunglasses and use of both hands is required. This class uses fire which is fun, but must be handled with care. Beads should be cool enough by the evening to take home, if not other arraignments can be made. (Instructor is a full-time NC certified K-12 Art-Educator, with a background in using fire to make art.)
