Description
Lecture on the history of wholecloth quilting during the Medieval period, followed with a hands on class to make a basic quilted piece with both Italian quilting (trapunto) and basic running stitch quilting. Class will focus on quilting used primarily for household items, but skills can be used in garment construction. Will include a kit. It is recommended that all participants bring a thimble.
