Description
Join Mistress Ester Pickering for an all day open workshop on 16th century Elizabethan Embroidery. Ester is happy to help you plan a project, work on an existing project or offer a tutorial on a variety of techniques/classes she has previously taught. Class options include - Beginning and Intermediate Polychrome embroidery, Blackwork, Sweet Bag Design, Shirt and Shift Embroidery Design, An Overview of Elizabethan Embroidery, Open Work Seams and Sweet Bag accessories . She’ll have copies of notes and materials for hands on practice, while supplies last. She’ll also have a variety of resources, projects and materials for students to look over. To receive credit students will need to stay at least an hour, but you are welcome to come by any amount of time that you have. All levels from just curious to beginning to advanced welcome. $1-$6 fee depending on what material students want to use.
