Description
A closer look at how gold threads were used in medieval embroidery, with a primary focus on goldwork embroidery as seen in the shimmering backgrounds of Opus Anglicanum. Class will include a lecture, followed by a hands-on session. This class is intended for advanced embroiderers. *Please bring snips/scissors (not your best ones, we will be cutting metal threads), magnifiers/reading glasses if needed, and a small (4”) embroidery hoop.
