Description
Would you like to put together a Viking Age Norse kit that better reflects a more specific time and or place? The goals of this class include; to survey the major Viking Age art styles and to correlate the time periods of those styles with some important historical events; looking at some of the major styles of paired domed oval brooches, and related feminine jewelry, including when and where they were most prevalent; and considering some possibilities for garments or items distinctive to different regions you may want to incorporate into your garb. We’ll also look at some common pitfalls if you want to keep your Viking Age Norse kit as evidence-based as practical.
