Description
We’ll discuss definitions, time periods, and the and introductory survey of the types of sources we may call upon in our journey towards a goal of more accurate, and specific, clothing and accessories. Not so much a “how to” make the clothes, as a foundation for further study. Helpful but not required for a planned “102” class on art styles, and oval broaches, and a “103” class where we will try to look at regional styles (or put finds in a regional context) and an analysis of some recreation garb with an eye towards what story it tells. Class will not be recorded
