Description
This class explores the variety of sexual and gender experience present in pre-conquest Aztec Mexico, as well as examining morality-centered laws in place to punish and prevent perceived deviant behavior. We will discuss the mythological associations of female desire with garbage and death, as well as the evidence of ritualized homosexual behavior in pre-conquest shamanic practices. The class is recommended for mature students only. This class will not be recorded.
