Description
Haiku only needs a small number of syllables... Many of the Medieval Welsh poetry forms are almost the same! If you can count, and rhyme, you can write period poetry. A poem can be as short as three lines. Yes, even you can write in a Period Welsh Poetry style. The Welsh were prolific composers of Poetry in the 7th-13th centuries. There were 24 codified verse forms broken into 3 larger areas. In here we'll look into some of the Englynion and Awld verse forms. Particularly earlier examples before the Cynghanedd became required. Also, tune in to learn why writing Welsh Poetry using English *IS* a period practice. CLASS WILL NOT BE RECORDED (Was asked to add this to the description.)
