Heralds don't make puns, they cant!
Some people want their armory to describe their interests, their prowess, and sometimes their persona story. But a lot of heraldry out there is simply a visual play on an individual's name or alludes to the person's name in an indirect way. We'll show you some obvious examples from Western Europe and from the SCA. Some of these remain amusing today, others don't stand the test of time.
