July's King's Challenge was food and drink. This class will go over the source material for the following menu built from Ruperto de Nola's Libro de Guisados, the redaction and recipe testing process, and some cooking demo while we do so. The handout with the recipes and shopping list will be made available ahead of time, in case anyone wants to cook along. Menu: Vegetable- Eggplant in Casserole Main Dish- Armored Capon Sauce- Sauce Which is Called Pine Nut Dish of Garlic Dessert- Custard which is a fritter (and discussion on alternative pastry crust) Drink- Clarea This class will be recorded.
