Description
The Welsh were prolific composers of Poetry in the 7th-13th centuries. There were 24 codified verse forms broken into 3 larger areas. In here we'll look into some of the Englynion and Awld verse forms. Particularly earlier examples before the Cynghanedd became required. Haiku only needs a small number of syllables... Many of the Medieval Welsh poetry forms are almost the same! If you can count, and rhyme, you can write period poetry. A poem can be as short as three lines. Yes, even you can write in a Period Welsh Poetry style. Also, tune in to learn why writing Welsh Poetry using English *IS* a period practice. This class will be interactive. CLASS WILL NOT BE RECORDED
