Description
Guilds in Europe gained power and influence between the 11th-15th centuries. Focused on influencing politics, growing markets, product standardization and quality, skilled training, and technological innovation, occupational guilds expanded European economies. Class will focus on medieval European textile guilds, as well as other merchant guilds who further facilitated commerce, thereby improving access to goods and materials, strengthening trade and industry in the later Middle Ages.
