Description
An hour-long dive into the basics of modern theatrical vocal/speech training. We will work through a basic vocal warmup suitable for all skill levels, which can assist SCAdians great and common in being heard clearly and distinctly on both field and in Royal Court, without straining or injuring the voice. Class will be a workout for the vocal instrument, with a warmup and run through of the exercises as well as beginning to learn a set of tongue twisters to aid in diction. Open to all skill levels. This is a participatory class - please come to class ready to work and explore. You will want to be in a space where you can make some noise. Wear clothing loose enough that you can comfortably move about, place your hands on your face, and so forth - a comfortable T-tunic is perfect. This is not the class to debut your fully-boned late-period Elizabethan court gown! This class WILL be recorded, for student and instructor use only.
