Description
This class will be a brief overview of Roman jewelry from the end of the 1st century BCE through the 2nd century CE. The purpose of which is to show the different types, what changed, dating methods, materials used, gender and jewelry, social stigma, and social status. Images of extent finds will be shown, along with the difference between amulets and jewelry. Ways of making inexpensive Roman-esque jewelry will be discussed if time permits. FYI: There will be phallic imagery and gender discussion; Class will not be recorded
