Description
Are you an aspiring noble looking to improve your standing with high society? Do you fear being punished for hunting in the King's forest? Does the thrill of the hunt excite you? If you'd like the answers to any of these questions and more, please consider taking this course! This class aims to serve as an introduction for anyone interested in learning more about medieval hunting and its role in society. Over the course of an hour, we will discuss the who, what, where, when, and why of hunting in medieval Europe. As an added bonus, the instructor will be demonstrating how to field dress a (simulated) quadruped!* *No real animals will be harmed for this course; stuffed animals beware. This class will be recorded. A copy of the class handout will be made available.
