Description
An introduction to TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) roots of the Japanese tea ceremony including an introduction to how decoctions were prepared and administered. This will be related to the essential equipment and techniques for the tea ceremony. Tea was promoted in Japan by by Myōan Eisai who introduced Rinzai Zen Buddhism and wrote "Yojoki" (better living though tea drinking). Class will be recorded
