This class discusses historical origins of modern legal terms. We will discuss the influence of Roman Law and the Norman Conquest on English law, the use of legal doublets in modern law - goods and chattlels", "breaking and entering", etc. - the origins of common criminal law terms, and other fun facts. This class will be recorded.
