Description
Have you ever gotten a piece of fabric, or skein of yarn and said "This is nice, but I'd like a different color..."? Well now is your chance to learn how to get some beautiful color using all natural dyes! In this class we will use natural plant based dyes to demonstrate the range of colors you can achieve. Material for dyeing will be provided, however if students wish to bring their own items the Introduction to Mordanting class will be required. (for all other students it's highly encouraged!) Students are encouraged to bring hand cream and latex or nitrile gloves. Due to the dye baths being over open flame, this class is not recommended for young children. Dying can be messy, so please wear garb you don't mind getting messed up.
