Description
This class will look at period uses of beads in embroidery, and provide instruction in bead embroidery techniques. Students will also learn how to create their own patterns from period pictures. Instructions will be provided. The list of supplies should be items that students would usually have on hand or would be able to access from a craft store. Supply List: big eye needles, cotton or silk beading thread size D/E (nylon thread is also ok to use), a piece of cotton fabric, embroidery hoop, beads (3mm-8mm round glass beads, rice shaped beads, rectangular or square beads, pearls, biconal).
