Description
Join Epy Pengelly, Armiger for a Virtual Visit of the Museo Nacional de Antropologia-- the largest and most visited museum in Mexico! Located in the scenic Chapultepec park, the main museum building is laid out around a courtyard and ringed by additional gardens which are home to outdoor exhibition pieces. In the main building, the ground floor is full of permanent exhibitions of indigenous, pre-Colombian objects, and the floor above is dedicated to Native American culture since colonization. The museum's mission is "researching, conserving, exhibiting and disseminating the most important archaeological and ethnographic collections in the country... it pays tribute to the indigenous peoples of Mexico today through a rich heritage that rescues the uses, representations, expressions, knowledge and traditions that are intangible heritage of the nation and a legacy that belongs to all humanity." This will not be recorded.
