How to Press Roses (or other flowers) and Mount Them in a Frame
Instructor's Kingdom: Atlantia, Time Zone: EST
3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
One way to preserve roses or other flowers is to press them flat so they can dry. Once dry, the flowers can be mounted on heavy cardstock and framed. This method of preserving botanical specimens started in the 16th century and continues to this day. I will discuss and demonstrate how to press roses using a plant press or something similar then mounting them for framing once they are dry. I will talk about where to get the tools and supplies and my successes and failures at drying roses for display.
