Giving Helpful, Appropriate, and Non-Toxic Feedback
We all need feedback to help us to grow in our artistic endeavors. Activities such as Arts & Sciences competitions can provide an opportunity to receive such feedback. Make no mistake though – providing good feedback requires thought and effort – not just writing down the first thing that comes into your head. Providing bad feedback, on the other hand, is easy; it only takes a moment of carelessness, or inattention, or failure to consider the effect of your words on the recipient, to make a lasting, and negative impact.
In this class, we will talk about things to look for in giving feedback, and at ways to present your observations and suggestions so they will be seen as opportunities for improvement, and not just as harsh criticism.
The instructor is currently the Kingdom Deputy MoAS for Competitions.
